His peace He gave

What a dread, yet another meeting
Datelines and deadlines, ain't make no difference to me
Why can't I have a day where I can just work
Without the bugging and nudging and people calling me

Good colleagues, bad colleagues, you get them all
You probably can't have one and not have the other
Friends and not so friends, you won't want anymore
Good thing is they are not my mother or father

Today is one of those cloudy rainy day
Where everywhere is wet and most uncomfortable
Days like that rarely come my way
But today is the day its undeniable

But then I remember that God is Good
And His love endures forever
And then I remember that He is near
Forsake or leave me He will never

And then I recall that He cares for me
That His yoke is light and His burden is easy
Rejoice! O my soul, Rejoice!
Praise His name for He is worthy

Oh what's the fuss about meetings and all
What's the rumbling with this cloudy rainy day
Just lay them all down at the foot of the Cross
His peace He gave and my fear He takes away
